CHARLOTTE AREA GREEN PARTY SEPTEMBER 11, 2004 MEETING MINUTES


Present: Alan Burns, Kathryn Kuppers, Mark Ortiz, Casey Watson

Casey presented a written treasurer's report. The balance in checking before reimbursement checks written at the meeting was $2,510.77. Expenditures over the last month included $231 for printing brochures, $120 for webmaster (for July and August), $25 for 100 Green Pages, $90 for past bank statements.

Because attendance at monthly meetings is so low, it was proposed by Casey, Alan, and Kathryn that the bylaws be changed to require only quarterly meetings. A proposal to that effect, and a vote upon that proposal, will be made by e-mail.*

It was also suggested that all CAGP officers must attend the quarterly meetings, and that other members should notify one of the clerks if they will be unable to attend.

Kathryn reported that along the Labor Day Parade route, CAGP members distributed 200 flyers and 288 pencils. We could have easily distributed 500 each if we had brought more materials with us and if there had been more members present to help.

*After the meeting it was determined that, according to the bylaws, a bylaws amendment must be made at a regularly scheduled CAGP meeting. Subsequently a meeting time and place was set for October. The meeting will be at 1PM at the Mellow Mushroom Restaurant on North Davidson Street on Saturday, October 9.
