    · Don Carr has reserved a van to carpool to Mt. Olive, NC
  • Tim Merrill, CAGP webmaster, gives website update and asks for any new or extra information
  • Tim requests anyone to draw for each/any of the 10 key values
  • Position paper on the "Student Citizen Act" is read and is decided to be revised online over the next two weeks in which time it will be sent to the webmaster
    · Outreach coordinators could provide assistance in submitting the position paper as an editorial.
  • Gregg Jocoy mentions that <fortowncouncil.com> is available for candidates' use
  • Mike Kaspar, candidate for school board district 6, speaks to the group

    · $50 refund from UU will be technically tied up until we stop reserving rooms
    · CAGP has $249.61 total
    · $22 was spent on checks so $178 in account and $49.61 is in the cashbox
    · CCB does not enforce the requirement of two signatures

    · We decided that we'll not make the flier public
    · Volunteers are needed to sit at the registration tables/phones

  • Adopt-A-Stream/ Adopt-A-Highway
    · Decided to adopt the stream that has the sign on I-77 between Woodlawn and Tyvola
    · Kathryn and Chuck will look into adopting a stream in Cabarrus Co
    · Mark and Kathryn want to adopt two highways that are by their houses
    · UCP would adopt a section of Steele Creek in SC if we'll adopt a section of Steele Creek in NC
  • Mark and Gregg report on the plutonium trucking situation, mentioning the Blue Ridge Environmental Defense League and United Citizens' Party involvement
  • Gregg Jocoy and two others from Fort Mill are running for town council and are asking for our help by us coming down and/or using the phone. Gregg passed around a sign up sheet.
  • Alan will try to reserve the room at the Beatties Ford Rd library for the Oct meeting
