Minutes of October 1, 2005 CAGP Quarterly Meeting
Attending: Alan Burns, Gregg Jocoy, Kathryn Kuppers, Nick Triplett, Susan Triplett
1. Alan Burns reported that the CAGP bank account balance is $812.19.
2. There will be a vote taken on a major bylaws revision at the NCGP gathering in Asheville on October 8. There was a general consensus among attendees that the changes to the organization of the Executive Committee should not take effect until April of 2006. However, Kathryn will be the only CAGP member attending the meeting and thus the only one who will actually be able to vote on the issue.
3. Members present approved CAGP sponsorship of the week of activities planned by WalMart Watch for November 13-19 to raise public awareness of the high cost to workers and communities of WalMart’s low prices. The movie, The High Cost of Low Prices, is tentatively scheduled to be shown at the Firefighter’s auditorium on Seventh Street on November 17 at 6 PM. We will provide a link to Walmartwatch.com from our website.
4. Nick proposed that the CAGP concentrate on one event or effort to be accomplished between each quarterly meeting. For the current quarter, it was decided that the CAGP will leaflet Nick’s neighborhood with CAGP brochures and invite residents to attend a meeting in the area to introduce people to the Green Party and to try to find out what interests the Green party could serve.
5. The next stream clean-up will be November 5 at 1:30 PM.
