Minutes of April 8, 2006 CAGP Quarterly Meeting
Attending: Alan Burns, Len Clemmer, Maggie Davis, David Dixon, Diane Frederick, Gregg Jocoy, Kathryn Kuppers, Brian Staton, Nick Triplett, Susan Triplett
- Treasurer Alan Burns reported a treasury balance of $653.92.
- Annual dues for April 2006 through April 2007 were set at $5.
- Kathryn announced upcoming events, UNCC Earth Day on April 19 and Energy at the Crossroads Road Tour at CPCC. Plans for tabling at the City of Charlotte Earth Day event on April 29 were firmed up.
- Brian Staton discussed the September 30 Impeachment Rally at Freedom Park. Nadia McCaffery will speak, and volunteers are needed to head various committees for this event.
- The next stream clean-up was scheduled for May 6 at 10 AM. ( This date did not work out, and is being rescheduled.)
- Alan Burns and Nick Triplett were re-elected CAGP co-coordinators; Susan Triplett and Kathryn Kuppers were reelected co-clerks; Gregg Jocoy agreed to be treasurer. (However, at a later date, it was determined that by NC state law, the treasurer of a political committee registered in NC must have a treasurer residing in North Carolina, so Alan Burns has agreed to remain as treasurer.)
- Alan Burns and Kathryn Kuppers will be attending the NCGP spring gathering on April 29 in Raleigh.
- The next CAGP meeting will be July 15, 2006 at 2 PM at 1528 Thomas Avenue.
