CHARLOTTE AREA GREEN PARTY April 11, 2009 MEETING MINUTES

Attending: Akram Alami, Alan Burns, Nick Triplett, Susan Triplett, Owen Triplett, Kathryn Kuppers

Treasurer’s Report: Nick reported a balance of $199.12.  The GAGP regrettably accepts the resignation of Ken Hausle as Treasurer. Ken is to be removed as a signer from the CAGP checking account and Nick, Alan and Kathryn are to be added as signers on the account.

State Gathering:  April 25, 2009.  Kathryn will attend.  Nick and Alan might go as well.  Nick to consider running for co-chair.

Charlotte Clean and Green: April 18, 2009 10am-3pm.  Kathryn and Akram to come in the morning.  Susan and Owen to come in the afternoon.  Nick and Alan to attend all day.

UNCC Earth Day:  CAGP will not participate this year.

Cliffside Protest:  Call Charlotte Talk (704-926-9323) and Creative Loafing (704-348-2115) to draw attention to the protest.

Stream Clean: May 2, 2009 2pm.  Kathryn, Nick, Owen and Alan to participate.  Akram may attend.

Campaign Support Center: Nick and Samiron to try and help in various progressive campaigns.  Virginia elections are a possibility.

Networking:  CAGP was asked to join a progressive networking hub.  Nick will sign up.

Bottle Bill update:  Nick contacted sponsor and they answered our questions.  Should introduce bill soon.

By-Laws: Amendment to remove “Active members” clause passed unanimously.

CAGP Flyer: 150 copies of new flyer donated by Nick

Dues: Set to $10 or submit written request for a waiver to Treasurer

Treasurer: Kathryn unanimously selected as new Treasurer to replace Ken.

Co-Clerks: Akram and Susan unanimously reelected

Coordinator: Nick and Alan unanimously reelected
