July 24, 2010 - Minutes of the Charlotte Area Green Party
-Attending: Kathryn Kuppers, Bre Reiber, Dennis Peterson, Donna Shaver, Nick Triplett, Susan Triplett, Owen Triplett
-Kathryn announced the upcoming Labor Day Parade on September 6. The CAGP will spend $75 to march in the parade.
-Bre gave an update on the Matthews incinerator issue. She announced a
soil testing date in September, a cancer count training and encouraged
the CAGP to participate in the county Air Quality Board's monthly
proceedings. Bre and Alan Burns will keep the membership informed of
upcoming actions related to the Matthews incinerator.
-Nick announced that the CAGP has a co-clerk position opened and encouraged any interested member to consider the position.
-The attending viewed the pictures from the last stream cleanup (thank
you Dennis and Donna). The next stream clean-up is tentatively
scheduled for November 6. The attending also recognized that the set
date may not be possible and that the next clean-up may need to be
pushed until spring 2011.
-Nick informed the membership of the yearly expense for the website. The CAGP will spend $61.18 on this expense.
-The CAGP needs to print brochures for the Labor Day parade and other events.
-Charlotte Pride 2010 will be on October 2. The fee is %100. Nick will
check all relevant deadlines and inform the membership. The CAGP would
like to have a table at the event.
-The next quarterly meeting is scheduled for January 2011. This will be
a combination potluck social and regualr business meeting.
