CHARLOTTE AREA GREEN PARTY July 12, 2008 MEETING MINUTES

Attending: Akram Alami, Tom Bowers, Alan Burns, Len Clemmer, Kathryn Kuppers. Ken Hausle reported that the CAGP checking account has $250.92 and $5 on hand.

The next stream clean-up was set for October with the County Commission. We will meet at the Wendy’s parking lot on Charlottetown Ave. (formerly Independence Blvd) near the new Target/Home Depot complex.

Kathryn will inquire about getting a matching grant from the NC Green Party for buying boots.

Tom will find the date for the clean-up and write a release form.

Alan will invite Code Pink and UNCC students to the stream clean-up.

The old CAGP banner is missing. A new one needs to be purchased for the Labor Day parade.

A card with the 10 Key Values will be made by Kathryn. These cards and candy will be handed out at the Labor Day parade.

Tom will ask Harry Taylor if he would want us to endorse him again this year under the same conditions as previously.

We need to collect 500 valid signatures by August 4 for Cynthia McKinney.

The next CAGP quarterly meeting is scheduled for October 11th at 11 AM.
